The Fernie Mountain Film Festival is a small volunteer run community event that strives to create an engaging, enlightening and entertaining two evening festival. The format and time constrictions allow for two feature length films and a series of shorts.

January 15th of festival year.

There are no fees for submitting a film.

There is one prize awarded at our festival: "Best of Fest" which is juried by the Festivasl Board and the volunteer crew. There is a $500 cash award for "Best of Fest".

The dispatching of any entry to the Festival implies acceptance of these procedures and regulations by the Entrant. Films should be less than 3 years old. Films can be submitted by professionals or amateurs. Entries can be of any duration. Filmmakers from any country may enter the Festival, Entries with soundtracks in any language other than English MUST have English subtitles. All submissions will be retained by the Festival. The entrant shall submit a link to their film trailer and photos for promotional purposes. Selected films will be notified by mid-February. Award winners will be notified in March. Results will be posted on our website. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that all matters will be decided by Festival organizers.

The Entrant gives the Fernie Mountain Film Festival the rights to use the film as outlined in this entry form. The Entrant gives the Fernie Mountain Film Festival the rights to promote the film for the ultimate purpose of promoting our festival. All music licences have been obtained, and all payments have been made that are required for the public performance of the music incorporated in the film. No material in the film being submitted by the Entrant to the Festival is libellous or is slanderous or defamatory or violates any right of privacy or publicity of any person, and the full use of the rights in such film will not violate any rights, including copyright or moral rights, of any person, firm or corporation. By entering the Fernie Mountain Film Festival the entrant acknowledges and agrees to all entry rules and regulations of the Festival.
