CHAMPIONS OF THE GOLDEN VALLEY
In the remote mountain villages of Bamyan, Afghanistan, a newfound passion for skiing attracts young athletes from rival ethnic groups to the slopes. Champions of the Golden Valley captures the thrill of a sports rivalry intertwined with a poignant portrait of a community in profound transition -- parallel stories converging to explore what it means to be a champion, in all its forms.
WITHOUT A PEDAL
After the sweeping success of their debut feature film “Without a Paddle: A Canoe Film about Snowboarding”, Johan Rosen and Nicholas Khattar finally decide it is time to make a sequel. They decide the most direct route to fame and riches is to go north to Alaska. The only problem is how are they going to get there? After collecting a few fellow broke and stoked stragglers with a hunger to go North, the team is tasked with the unenviable chore of pedalling wholly unsuitable bicycles from Terrace British Columbia to Haines Alaska, choosing to travel along Highway 37, the Cassiar Highway, one of Canada’s most desolate and remote highways.
